Lots going on this week. I’ve been loving the colours of the sea, and seem to want to keep painting the horizon. Oh yeah, and an amazing birthday trip to see the Matisse cut outs at the Tate Modern.

Each week I set myself a mini theme, which I usually don’t follow. For most of the week I’ve seeing how much detail I can leave out, but still have the subject of the image clear. I hope you think it’s working OK.

It’s been lovely and springlike this week, which has created some excellent conditions for painting outside.

In fact, it turns out that my last post contained the 10th April, (day 100 of 2014), but as I’d forgotten to upload the image from 31st March, there were only 99 paintings online. That’s all sorted now, and here are a few more daily paintings.

I’ve been loving the weather this week. Plenty of opportunity to perfect subtle colour variations of sky and sea. Then lightning fast sketches at Beatles Day 15 at the weekend.

It’s been a while since my last post as I’ve been in Marrakech. It’s all change with the rules now. Sea couldn’t play a part in my Moroccan paintings!

Bit late posting this week’s paintings. As you can see there’s been some mission slippage with Wednesday’s painting happening in a café, where it turned out I couldn’t actually see the sea. Next week I’m in Marrakech, so I doubt the paintings I make there will have all that much sea in them either.
