I made this drawing of The Seaview Project Choir at their carol concert on Saturday. Only 4 hours practice and they sang 2 carols beautifully.

This is an image I painted after attending a conversation between Basil Beattie and friend the art critic Mel Gooding at the Jerwood Gallery, Hastings
A new painting
Continuing in the theme of my last few paintings, I’m reducing the amount of information I put in may portrait and figure paintings. I’m using a thick impasto created with large brushes. They are painted on several canvases layered together. The outermost piece of canvas is cut out so the stretcher bars create the frame.
